32x32 sprite generator
Type 32 and 32, describe the sprite, and the PNG you download is 32 by 32 pixels. Every art pixel is exactly one image pixel, on a transparent background, so there's nothing to crop or scale down before it goes in your game.

What 32x32 is good for
32x32 is the workhorse size for a lot of top-down RPGs, roguelikes and platformers. One character fits one tile on a 32 px grid, which keeps movement and collision simple.
- Player characters and NPCs that stand on a single tile.
- Enemies and critters: bats, slimes, ghosts, frogs, skeletons.
- Pickups and loot: chests, gems, keys, potions.
- Inventory and shop icons, where 32 px is enough to tell a ruby from a sapphire.
It's twice the width of 16x16 but four times the pixels. That's the gap between a blob with eyes and a fox with pointed ears, a bushy tail and a white chest.
How to make one
- Open Text to Sprite and pick the Exact size tile.
- Set width 32 and height 32, then describe one subject: "a black cat sitting, side view".
- Generate. It takes about 15 to 30 seconds, and the download is a 32x32 transparent PNG.

These are the real files, untouched, shown at 4×.
Coin, key, chest: 16, 24 and 32
Same zoom, three sizes. Exact size isn't locked to 32: any width and height from 16 to 128 px works, so your small pickups can be 16 or 24 while your characters stay at 32.
Prompting tips for 32x32
- One subject, one clear silhouette. A fox reads at 32 px. A fox holding a lantern in a forest clearing doesn't.
- Name the two or three things that make it recognisable: ears and tail for a fox, a lid and a lock for a chest. Leave the rest out.
- Say the view. Side view for platformers, front or three-quarter for top-down games.
- Skip fine patterns. Stripes, lettering and embroidery turn to noise at this size.
- Use colour contrast between parts, like a red cap on a pale stem. It helps more than extra detail.
- Reuse your wording across a set. Same view and same style words for every enemy keeps them looking like one game.
Exact size or Micro?
If all you need is a square 32x32 and a closed 1px outline suits your style, Micro is the cheaper choice. It makes squares from 16 to 64 px from 3 credits.
Exact size costs 8 credits and does any shape from 16 to 128 px a side. Pick it for 32x48 heroes, tall props or anything that isn't square. The custom size sprite generator page shows what that looks like.
Price
8 credits a sprite. Exact size is on every paid plan from Ranger up. Ranger is $7.99 a month with 400 credits, which covers 50 Exact size sprites, and Knight, Paladin and Dragonlord give you more. Free accounts can't use it. The PNG is final, so set the size before you generate.
From code
It's also on the REST API as POST /api/v1/exact-size (API docs) and on the MCP server as the exact_size_sprite tool (MCP docs), so a coding agent can fill a sprite folder at 32x32 while you work on the game.
Frequently asked questions
Is the PNG really 32x32?
Yes. Ask for 32 by 32 and the file is 32 by 32 pixels, one art pixel per image pixel, on a transparent background. You can drop it straight into a 32 px tile grid.
Should I use Micro or Exact size for 32x32?
For a plain square, Micro is the cheaper option: squares from 16 to 64 px from 3 credits, with a closed 1px outline. Exact size costs 8 credits and does any shape from 16 to 128 px a side, so use it when the sprite isn't square or needs to be bigger than 64.
Can I make 32x48 characters too?
Yes. Exact size takes any width and height from 16 to 128 px, as long as the long side is at most 4 times the short side. 32x48 is fine, and so is 24x32 for a smaller party member.
Can I resize a 32x32 sprite afterwards?
No. The PNG is final, there's no resize step. If you also want a 48x48 version, generate it at 48x48.
How much does it cost and how long does it take?
8 credits a sprite, on every paid plan from Ranger up. Free accounts can't use Exact size. Each sprite takes about 15 to 30 seconds.
Can I generate 32x32 sprites from code?
Yes. Call POST /api/v1/exact-size on the REST API, or use the exact_size_sprite tool on the MCP server from a coding agent.
